About Presidio Custom Kennels
An Industry Stuck in a Box
After decades in the industry, owner Rodd Frank saw a major flaw:
Facility owners were being forced to fit their dreams into “standard” catalog boxes. If a room had a slope or a unique angle, they lost space. Even worse, they were buying “bolt-together” kits that rattled and rusted within years. Rodd knew business owners deserved better than a “one-size-fits-all” compromise.
“If You Can Dream It, We Can Build It”
Rodd founded Presidio Custom Kennels in Round Rock, Texas, with a rebellious philosophy: Nothing comes off a shelf. He built a manufacturing model based entirely on in-house custom fabrication. No outsourcing. No inventory. Just precision-welded solutions designed to fit your specific building, ensuring every inch of floor space is utilized for revenue. The Concierge Standard
We don’t just deliver metal; we deliver peace of mind. Rodd championed our Concierge Installation service because he knows the finish line is the hardest part. Our team travels nationwide to work directly with your Architects and GCs, handling the installation personally to ensure a perfect fit—saving you from construction nightmares.
About Rodd
Presidio Custom Kennels was built on a simple belief: when craftsmanship, integrity, and a genuine love for animals come together, the result speaks for itself.
Owner and founder Rodd Frank is a native Texan, lifelong animal lover, and industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in custom kennel design, metal fabrication, and animal enclosures. Alongside his wife Wendy, whom he has been married to for over 30 years, Rodd calls Round Rock, Texas home. Together, they have built Presidio into a trusted name serving veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, pet boarding facilities, shelters, and rescues across Texas and throughout the United States.
Rodd’s passion for quality extends far beyond the shop floor. When he is not designing or building custom kennels, you will find him traveling with family, enjoying time as a grandparent, or on a soccer field each week. That same dedication, consistency, and teamwork shows up in every project Presidio delivers.
With hands-on expertise in miscellaneous metal fabrication, fencing, gates, shade structures, powder coating, and precision animal enclosures, Rodd brings creative problem-solving and deep technical knowledge to every client relationship. He thrives on developing custom kennel solutions that are durable, functional, and thoughtfully designed to fit each facility’s workflow, space, and brand.
Presidio Custom Kennels proudly serves clients throughout Central Texas, including Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, and surrounding areas, while also partnering with leading pet care facilities nationwide. Our products are trusted by some of the finest veterinary hospitals, animal clinics, and pet boarding facilities in Texas and beyond.
Every kennel system is designed and fabricated for long-term performance, safety, and ease of use. From full-size dog kennels and stackable systems to tempered glass front doors, custom powder-coated finishes, and unlimited structural and color options, each project is tailored to create a completely unique solution.
When you choose Presidio Custom Kennels, you are partnering with a Texas-based, family-owned company that stands behind its work, values long-term relationships, and believes in doing things right the first time.
